How it works

Three steps to your settings

The shortest path from “what are the settings?” to actually playing.

  1. Enter your gear once

    Guitar, amp, multi-FX and pedals — only the ones you really own. Every adaptation starts from that.

  2. Pick a song and a section

    Riff or solo, clean or distorted. First you see the gear and signal chain behind the original recording.

  3. Dial in your own knobs

    Gain, EQ and effect values written with the labels and ranges printed on your panel. Then play.

What we won't fake

Tone information has limits. We write the limits into the result instead of hiding them.

  • Every setting is labelled sourced, inferred, or a Riffmigo suggestion.
  • When the information is thin we say what is missing instead of filling in a good-looking number.
  • We never reach into your gear or synthesize the tone for playback — every move happens on the hardware in front of you.
  • Failures, timeouts and insufficient data never use up an adaptation.
